Speaking of water themes... Someday you need to come to my apartment and see my Octopus's Garden. It's in the shade, of course. I'm having some folks stay before and after WorldCon next year, hope to see you then.

Some people have a rock garden, I have a rock-and-roll garden. Who says that music is the only way to express themes? Hehehe.

Ah, but does it include that scary Christmas octupus fairestcat was talking about the other day, or is the classical Cthulhu-octopus? Sounds cool [in more ways than one ;)], either way!

We're definitely planning on the WorldCon, as is list-founder Mike Bernardi. All the listies should mob him for general public embarrassment; he's so cute when he's magenta. The catch is, he's known me so long, it's not nearly as easily done [although always fun!].

Design Toscano used to have an octopus wine chiller, I think I got the last one. Rather realistic, except for the hole on top of the head. Mine has a succulant plant pot rather than ice and a bottle, obviously. Plus more succulants and ferns in emulation of sea plant life, that also holds up in the shade plus a few oceanic tchachkes like wooden fish on stakes and an Aquaman action figure. [grin]

Ginnilee is scheming to have the Bujold Listies and the Baen Barflies run a co-party at the con, so we will DEFINITELY see you there!

Sounds fun!

Have you ever heard Ookla the Mok? They have a song about Aquaman. Then there's the recent Smallville episode, and the Justice League cartoons, not to mention the cartoons from 1967 that show up as filler on Cartoon Network. Many versions to love... ;)
