This book is the first in the Dreamhealers duology, and was my introduction to Hogarth's work. The world-building's excellent, and it's one of the kindest, most fun books I've ever read [and reread many times].

So, among other errands [mailing All The Things, the drugstore, the library], I hit the local Value Village on the way home. They've recently lowered their cds to .25 [yay!], but the cd cases are often empty [boo!]. {I don't get that; if you're stealing the cd, why not take the case as well? It doesn't take up much more space, & is much more sellable or tradeable.}

No joy in book- or cd-ville, but I lucked out on the t-shirt rack. I found a blood donor shirt. It's admittedly white with a garish design, but it's new, my size & was only 1.69. Major win! I gave blood at the end of August, so I've definitely earned it. Now I have a shortsleeve, as well as a longsleeve donation shirt.

[One of the highlights of Conflikt this year was when I wore my longsleeve shirt to dinner, & Kanef showed up in the exact same shirt. Normally, he's a bit hard to talk to, but we had a nice conversation about keeping one's hemoglobin up.] Best of all, I'm not eligible to give again until the end of October, well after OVFF. Another win!

Just a couple of these things, & it pays for itself. For example, the Fiction River anthology alone [nearly 800 pages!] is 8.00 on Kindle. The Uncollected Anthology Year One [490 pages] is only available as a $24 paperback. Afaik, this is the only e-book edition. The Grayson trilogy is excellent, romance-with-woo-woo fun; the Rusch Diving series has great buzz. The Faerie Summer is a 20-book e-book set.

Throw in the others, & that's a lot at an excellent deal. Squee!
