What is up with time on LJ?

Yesterday I got all inspired & posted a comment on someone's LJ, in answer to some questions & concern they had. I posted after 5:30 a.m. [still shocked to actually be up that early, but, when inspiration bites, it's best to act right then, lest it be lost], but LJ listed it as after 9:30 a.m. I just figured maybe the server was out of Greenwich, or some such.
Now, in the previous entry, made not all that long ago, it listed the correct time of posting, after 1 p.m. Yet, when stoutfellow commented, & I replied to his comment, it listed the time as 11-something, rather than the 2-something it actually is. Three hours behind--the server's suddenly running on Pacific NW time?
What's up with that?

Date: 2004-05-21 02:44 am (UTC)Weird, I just posted a comment to your previous entry, and LJ made the time 2:37 -- I'm assuming AM otherwise it would be 14:37, I think.
But I'm pretty sure if I posted in my journal it would be 10:37 am, the time here.
But you're only five hours behind me, so it should be 5:37 am for you, not 2:37. 2:37 would be central time?
So it's not adjusting it to your time, is it?
Strange, I don't get it!
