Snow

What started as the usual inch or so of snow we get every few years turned into a flickerthon of power, followed by a 17-hour outage [including no heat or internet]. It got down below 50, which feels *amazingly* cold over time, even under multiple layers. We're very relieved and grateful to a) have so many blankets and clothes to layer and b) to have the power back on.

That's no fun! I hope everything's back to normal and stays that way. Here we got an inch or so of snow, but that's nothing for New England.

It's usually nothing for us, too; but then, the power usually stays on. The power company workers were impressive: over 300,000 folks with no power, most were restored within a day. Power lines on my street were installed by dinosaurs, so we get frequent outages [albeit most not so long or badly timed].

Under 50 for 17 hours is awful. Glad y'all are back to warmth and internet! We had flickers, enough to need to reset digital clocks, but nothing worse.

It was cold, & time dragged, but, in retrospect, I'm feeling quite the intrepid pioneer. Bundled layers made things quite tolerable, but bathroom trips were quite the adventure!
