Actually, posting is more for you, anyway. Putting thoughts into words gives them a tangible [albeit electronic ;)] form that makes them easier to get a grip on & wrangle into something useful. Think of lots of bread-dough vs. a bag of flower being blown around by a random wind.
And, yes, that feeling of connection is important. Iow, your friends *knead* to hear from you, too.
