So, I joined the Friends of Dunwoody Library, because they have excellent booksales. Then I got an email they were hosting a free cpr class. The bursitis is back in a big way [I overdid it on a huge shipping run for paperbackswap this weekend]. To boot, the class was very basic & banal. However, the other people in it were lively & cool, so that was okay. On one of the sale carts, I found the _Collected Poems_ of Edna St. Vincent Millay. When I got home [& the late-afternoon wasn't nearly as bad as my shoulder & I had feared] & opened the book for the first time, below is what I found. How cool & apt is that?

"Still will I harvest beauty where it grows"

Still will I harvest beauty where it grows:
In coloured fungus and the spotted fog
Surprised on foods forgotten; in ditch and bog
Filmed brilliant with irregular rainbows
Of rust and oil, where half a city throws
Its empty tins; and in some spongy log
Whence headlong leaps the oozy emerald frog.
And a black pupil in the green scum shows.
Her the inhabiter of divers places
Surmising at all doors, I push them all.
Oh, you that fearful of a creaking hinge
Turn back forevermore with craven faces,
I tell you Beauty bears an ultrafringe
Unguessed of you upon her gossamer shawl!
