Smith Gilbert Gardens
Oct. 23rd, 2011 11:25 pmWanting to use a coupon before it expired, we went to the Smith Gilbert Gardens today. I had never hard of them, but it's an excellent, small garden up in Kennesaw. We took lots of pictures, which are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24609723@N08/sets/72157626541724933/?page=2
They're in the Georgia Parks set, the bottom 208 pictures, starting with the painted murals of flowers & birds. There're lots of roses, coleus, & statues. [We also hit a thrift store on the way home, amid much spousal grumbling, but the camera battery had worn out by then, so there're no pictures. It is noteworthy that, after I found a book he'd been looking for, the spousal grumbling abruptly ceased. The moral of the story seems to be, take your spouse to a thrift store, & she'll find books for you.
