It may be relative, but it doesn't have to be *distant.*

That's because I didn't wander anywhere much. I sat in large space for concerts & in small space for concerts. I spent far too much time [among other things] in the dealer's room, but the box eventually made it home. Himself had this *odd* idea that he'd like to see the floor, so all the books have been shelved; goodness knows when or if I'll actually find and read them.

I only made it to pieces of 3 panels. There were people I wouldn't have minded seeing, but nobody I was *dy*ing to see, since Diane Duane cancelled at the last minute. The parties were lots of fun, though, especially with the deck as a safety-valve when the crowding got a bit much. You might've liked it, for a while anyway.

Well, I guess we'll find out if I like it at Denver. Because I'm already starting to save my pennies for it.

All I was waiting for was a Worldcon with Lois as GOH (and the resultant MaxiLoisCon), in a place where I'd want to be even if there wasn't a Worldcon going on, with Yellowstone along the way...

Well, as far in advance as you're planning, you've got plenty of time to plan de-pressurization zones: long drives, afternoon naps, frequent [chocolate?] breaks, etc. In a nice feedback loop, you having such plans to alleviate stress will in itself alleviate lots of stress.

You should plan for some concerts and filking, though. selenesue ran a percussion circle in LA; maybe there'll be something similar in Denver. Should we set you to *drum* up business for it? ;)

Yup. I figure the three or four days it will take me to drive there will have me in a mood to be social for a few days, then by the time I'm all socialized out, it'll be time to hit the road, and then I'll have Yellowstone to decompress at [g]. Seems like the ideal situation to *me*...

Might also plan a side trip to a very happily remembered Denver Museum of Natural History, too (one of the best museums I'd ever been to at the time -- although that was thirty years ago). I might go see my old house, too. And maybe half a dozen other things -- might have to plan an extra day either before or after the con.

I haven't been to Denver in almost 20 years.

Anyway, Denver is a Very Cool Place.
