Lots of short stories this time, most either by Seanan or from tor.com, along with just a sprinkling of romance, something I hadn't read in quite a while. Over the year, I also read lots of graphic novels. Thank goodness for libraries; I'd have neither the cash nor the space for all the good things without them [& their booksales].

Right now, an anthology of Irish legends, followed by Scottish, Welsh and Cornish legends. Then if I am bored, re reading "The Betrayed Profession: Lawyering at the end of the 20th Century" by Sol Lineweiz.

Then, the complete poems of Alexander Pushkin, in Russian (at least by year's end).

How's the Lineweiz? My lawyerspouse might be interested. When he came up, everyone thought they'd be making "L. A. Law" money, only not so much.

Have you ever read any of the compilations by Ruth Manning-Sanders? Many of them have fabulous illustrations by Robin Jacques.

Not a bad read; sometimes a little too pontificating, but fascinating. And my apologies, I think I got the name wrong. The author is Sol M. Linowitz. The Book's title, "The Betrayed profession: Lawyering at the end of the twentieth century". I'm not sure Your Law spouse will enjoy or dissect the text, but certainly, it will challenge perceptions.

No, I have not read Ms. Manning-Sander's books...but I am sure to read them now. I think I like what I've seen so far.

It wasn't at the libraries, so I got it online for a good deal. We'll see how he likes it.

I hope you enjoy the Manning-Sanders books. There are certainly enough of them, so you should be able to find some at your local library to try out.

At least inter-library loan might have a copy.

Would you believe my local library only has one copy of Manning-Sander's books? Inter-library loan department, here I come. Plus I have a fantastic indi bookstore up at the corner!

They're a bit older [1970s & 1980s], so I'm not sure about local availability. However, copies online are quite reasonable. Half dot com has several titles listed for .75 plus shipping. Abebooks dot com has several titles under $4, including shipping.
