Fungus-palooza!

Ze spouse made his monthly madman marathon march [in which he drives 2 hours +, hikes 12-20 miles, & drives back the same day] last week, & there are pictures! Go forth to marvel at his self-described Fungus-palooza:

Confluence was delightful! While I was rocking out, ze spouse was walking out. His hiking pics are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24609723@N08/sets/72157630917745256/

Meanwhile, I've been getting more pictures at Reynolds the last couple of months. Check out the bottom half here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24609723@N08/sets/72157629375865764/

Oakland Cemetery

So, we used our groupon & went Sunday afternoon. The topic was supposed to be "Murder & Mayhem." The tour guide was very dull [hard as it was to do with the topic], but the place itself was kind of cool--when it wasn't burning up. It was overcast all day, until we got there. Then the sun came out & partied on my face & neck. The sunburn hasn't been at all fun; I've felt like that high school pep rally cheer, "Get fired up!"

Still, the pictures are interesting:

Who knew that tombstones had so much cool stuff on their sides?

Also, if we ever go back, I'm definitely wearing a floppy hat.

Walkin'

The Professora & I had a walk around Grant Park last week. Pictures are here:

Check out that "micro" setting love!

Now I'm hearing Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" and Patsy Cline's "Walkin' After Midnight." What other walking songs am I missing?
